The footer’s four quick links are broken on every page except the homepage
Why it matters
Become an Exhibitor, Visitor Registration, Download the post-show report and Download event brochure sit in the footer of every page. In the footer record their addresses are typed as exhibit-enquiry, visitor-registration, post-show-report and event-brochure — without the “/” at the front.
Written that way, a browser treats each one as a page inside whatever page the visitor is on. From the homepage that happens to work. From anywhere else it does not: a visitor on About ITE who clicks Become an Exhibitor is sent to /about-ite/exhibit-enquiry, which does not exist, and lands on a “page not found”. That is the case on 205 of the site’s 206 pages, for all four links — the search-engine crawl counted 826 broken links from this one cause, and they are the footer’s calls to action.
The fix is four edits in one record: add the leading “/” (and a closing one) to each address. It is worth doing today.
Where to change it
Strapi → Footer → Footer Columns → the Quick Links column → Content
| Link text | Currently | Change it to |
|---|---|---|
| Become an Exhibitor | /exhibit-enquiry/ | |
| Visitor Registration | /visitor-registration/ | |
| Download the post-show report | /post-show-report/ | |
| Download event brochure | /event-brochure/ |
Then remove the twelve temporary forwards. Somebody has already noticed and patched four pages by hand: the Redirects list in Strapi holds twelve records whose address begins contact-us/ or articles/…/ and ends exhibit-enquiry, visitor-registration or visa. They forward those specific broken addresses to the right page. Once the four links are fixed they do nothing useful, and each one costs a visitor an extra forwarding step — delete them. Leave the other three records (articles-and-reports, exhibitor-list, latest-articles) alone; they are real.
Verified. On 25 August the four links read exactly as in the middle column on the homepage and on article pages alike; requested from /about-ite/, each one returns a “not found” page. All four replacement addresses load normally.
