97 pages are sharing one sentence

Google shows a short description under every link. When a page has none of its own, the site falls back to the homepage’s. Right now 97 different pages are all advertising the same sentence about Crocus Expo — including the conference programme, the partners page and the visitor guide to Moscow.

All three footer links are broken — on every page of the site

Fix in Strapi 289 pages

Why it matters

The Quick Links column in the footer appears on every page of the site, and all three of its links lead nowhere. This is the largest single finding in the report and the one to do first.

All three destination pages exist and work perfectly. Only the addresses saved against the links are wrong, and each is a small typing slip.

“Become an Exhibitor” was saved as exhibiting-enquiry with no slash at the front. Without it a browser looks for that page inside whatever page the visitor is standing on — so from the homepage it happens to work, but from a sector page it looks for the enquiry form underneath that sector and finds nothing. That one missing character accounts for 289 of the broken links on the site, one on every page.

The other two were saved as https://post-show-report and https://event-brochure. Writing https:// in front tells the browser to go and find a different website by that name, rather than a page on yours, so the visitor gets “this site can’t be reached” instead of an error page.

Where to change it

Strapi → Global / Footer → the Quick Links column → each of the three links

Become an Exhibitorexhibiting-enquiry
/exhibiting-enquiry/
Download the post-show reporthttps://post-show-report
/post-show-report/
Download event brochurehttps://event-brochure
/event-brochure/

The rule to remember. An address on your own site always starts with a single / and nothing else — /exhibiting-enquiry/. Leave the slash off and it becomes relative to the current page; put https:// in front of a bare word and it becomes a different website altogether.

The rest of the footer. The logo, the social icons and the Terms of Use link all work correctly and need no change. There is one more thing to settle in the same record, though — see The footer shows one email address and sends to another in the decisions below.

Verified. We followed all three links on the live site on 19 August. The first lands on an error page from every page except the homepage; the other two do not resolve to a website at all. All three real pages load normally.

2

Two pages are telling Google they do not exist

Fix in Strapi 2 pages

Why it matters

A page can carry a “canonical” setting, which tells Google “this page is a copy — index this other address instead.” It exists so that two pages showing the same content do not compete with each other.

On both of these the address it names is a page that has been deleted. So each one is asking to be dropped from search in favour of nothing at all, and Google’s usual response is to do exactly that — even though both pages work perfectly for anyone who reaches them through the menu.

The Connect page matters most. It is the Connect item in your main menu, so the link to it sits in the navigation on all 288 other pages, and it is quietly removing itself from Google while collecting every one of those links.

Where to change it

Strapi → each page record → SEO → Canonical URL — clear the field

PageCanonical currently set toWhat that address returns
/connect/https://trstexpo.com/connect-leadscanning/Error — the page does not exist, and it is not in your sitemap
/sectors/equipment-suppliers/https://trstexpo.com/sectors/equipment-and-components/Error — the page does not exist, and it is not in your sitemap

Clearing the field is the whole fix. Empty that box and each page falls back to its own address — https://trstexpo.com/connect/ and https://trstexpo.com/sectors/equipment-suppliers/ — which is the correct answer in both cases. Nothing else needs changing and no developer is involved.

Unless one of those pages is coming back. If /connect-leadscanning/ or /sectors/equipment-and-components/ is a page you intend to publish, tell us. In that case we would set up a proper redirect rather than leave the canonical pointing at an address that is not there yet.

The same sector address turns up again. Two articles also link to /sectors/equipment-and-components/, which is the next item in this list. It is the same deleted address in both places.

3

The “Book Your Stand” banner leads to an error page

Fix in Strapi 19 pages

Why it matters

At the bottom of every sector page sits a wide “Ready to Exhibit?” banner. It looks like a button and it is clickable — but anyone who clicks it lands on a “page not found” error rather than the enquiry form.

These are the pages a potential exhibitor reads while deciding whether to get in touch, so it is the most valuable click on the site to be losing. Together with the footer links above, it is the pair worth doing today.

Nothing is broken in the build. When the banner was added, a block of form embed code was pasted into the field that should hold a web address, so the link now points at an address that cannot exist.

Where to change it

Strapi → each sector page → the body text → click the banner image → the link field

<div class="_form_196"></div><script src="https://ite681.activehosted.com/f/embed.php?id=196" charset="utf-8"></script>What the banner’s link field contains today, identically on all 19 sector pages.

If the form was meant to open on the page. The pasted code is an ActiveCampaign sign-up form. If the intention was for the form to appear on the sector page itself rather than send the visitor elsewhere, that is a change we make in code — tell us and we will build it instead.

While you are in there. The banner’s alt text — the wording read aloud to visually impaired visitors, and shown if the image fails to load — is currently the raw file name, Colorful Blobs Modern Artisan Marketing Retail X-Frame Banner (3).png. Something like Book your stand at TransRussia 2027 reads far better.

Not on the resource centre. We checked /exhibitor-resource-center/ as well, because it carries a similar banner. That one is fine — only the 19 sector pages above need the edit.

4

Twelve links inside articles point at pages that do not exist

Fix in Strapi 11 articles

Why it matters

Eleven of your articles link out to a sector page as part of the writing. Twelve of those links use one of five wrong addresses, so the reader clicks a phrase like “ports and maritime terminals” and gets an error page instead of the sector it describes.

Two of them still carry the working name the sector was built under — trans-russia-sector — which suggests the sector page was renamed after the article was written, and the link was left pointing at the old address.

These are the links that carry a reader from an article into the part of the show they are interested in, so each one is a visitor lost at exactly the wrong moment.

The wording is quoted below so you can find each link in the text. The seven ports links are worded three different ways between them, so search for whichever phrase appears in the article in front of you.

Only the last one needs your judgement. We matched each broken address to a live sector page using the wording of the link itself, which is why that wording is quoted above. The first is beyond doubt — the address is the real one with the word maritime added by mistake. The next three are named almost exactly by their own link text and are safe to apply as they stand. Only /sectors/maritime-sargo-sarriers/ is a real judgement call: the wording fits your maritime sector page, but the original address is misspelled badly enough (“sargo sarriers”) that we would rather you confirmed it than have us decide for you.

Verified. We checked every internal link on all 289 pages again on 19 August. Apart from the footer links in the first item, these five addresses are the only ones on the site that return an error, and all five suggested replacements load normally.

5

Six pages are visible in Google that probably should not be

Fix in Strapi 6 pages

Why it matters

These are working pages — two test pages, a demo, an internal reference page and three post-form “thank you” pages. All six are currently set to be found by search engines and all six appear in your sitemap, so somebody searching for TransRussia can land on them.

The thank-you pages are the awkward ones: a visitor arriving from Google sees a message thanking them for a download they never requested.

Where to change it

Strapi → the page record → unpublish, or SEO → tick noIndex

PageWhat it currently showsWhat to do
/email-validation/Title “test email validation”, heading “test”Unpublish — this is a test page
/partners-sponsors-demo/“Partners & Sponsors (Demo)”Unpublish — the real page is /partners-and-sponsors/

/thank-you/why-russia-indian-exhibitors/“Form - Why India × Russia - Thank you”Tick noIndex
/download-compliance-report/thank-you/“Compliance Report - Thank You”Tick noIndex

noIndex does everything in one tick. Ticking noIndex tells Google to drop the page and removes it from your sitemap automatically. There is no second step, and nothing needs a developer.

A quiet bonus. The internal reference page is also the heaviest page on the site — roughly 26 MB of images. Taking it down removes that from anyone who stumbles onto it.

6

Write the 96 missing page descriptions

Fix in Strapi 96 pages

Why it matters

The description is the grey text under your link in a Google result. It is the sentence that decides whether somebody clicks you or a competitor.

When that field is left empty the site falls back to the homepage’s description. So somebody searching for the TransRussia conference programme currently reads a general sentence about networking at Crocus Expo that never mentions the conference.

Google also treats a description repeated across a site as a sign of low quality, and often discards it and writes its own from whatever text it finds on the page.

The remaining 81 follow patterns. 44 partner pages and 18 articles make up most of the rest, and they matter least — one line each is plenty. For a partner: [Partner name] is a partner of TransRussia, Eurasia’s leading transport and logistics exhibition. The last 19 are a mix of forms, the four Moscow visitor-guide pages and other secondary pages; the three thank-you pages in the item above need nothing, as they are being hidden from Google anyway.

One to write rather than translate. /turkiye-exhibitors-turkish/ is the Turkish version of the Turkish exhibitors page, and its description should be written in Turkish rather than translated from the English line above.

7

All 18 photo gallery pages are described as just “TransRussia”

Fix in Strapi 18 pages

Why it matters

Every gallery under /media-gallery/ uses the single word TransRussia as its description — fifteen spelled TransRussia and three spelled Transrussia.

A one-word description gives a searcher nothing to choose from, and gives Google nothing to match a search against. Each gallery needs one sentence naming the year and what the photos show.

Each can reuse the matching line above with the year changed — for an exhibition: Photo highlights from the TransRussia [YEAR] exhibition at Crocus Expo, Moscow — the show floor, stands and visitors across three days.

One spelling, please. The three 2026 galleries spell it Transrussia while every earlier one uses TransRussia. The capital R is the correct form, and it is worth fixing while you are in each record.

Nineteen page titles are internal working names or too short

Fix in Strapi 19 pages

Why it matters

The title is the blue clickable line in a Google result, and on most of these pages it is also the tab name in the visitor’s browser.

Ten pages still carry the working name they were built under — Form - Become A Partner, Sponsorship Page. One has a typo that is live right now: Terms of Visitng.

The other nine are simply short. Google gives you roughly 60 characters; Why Visit uses nine of them, and says nothing about the event, the industry or the year.

The 44 partner pages are the same problem. Those show just the partner’s name — UND, VTB, ATI.SU — which is far too short to work in a search result. They are the item straight after this one.

9

The 44 partner pages show only the partner’s name as their title

Fix in Strapi 44 pages

Why it matters

The title is the blue clickable line in a Google result and the text on the browser tab. On the partner pages the Meta Title field is empty, so the site falls back to the record’s name on its own — UND, VTB, ATI.SU. Two or three characters, no context, and nothing to tell a searcher that the page is anything to do with TransRussia.

Google gives you roughly sixty characters. Adding the event name uses them and puts the partner in the right context, which is the whole point of the page.

Where to change it

It is one decision and forty-four quick edits, and it can be done in the same pass as the partner descriptions.

Eight pages show their heading twice

Fix in Strapi 8 pages

Why it matters

On these pages the main heading has been typed a second time at the top of the body text. The result is the same line printed twice in a row on screen, and two competing headings where a search engine expects one.

The page title is already placed at the top automatically, so the copy in the body is a duplicate rather than a missing piece.

Where to change it

Strapi → the page → the first line of the body text

/why-russia-report/Keep the words, change the format to Heading 2 — “Download this report to understand:”
/why-russia-indian-exhibitors/Keep the words, change the format to Heading 2 — “Download this report to understand:”

Why the last two differ. On those two the repeated line is a genuine sub-heading that belongs on the page — it is only its format that is wrong. Changing it from Heading 1 to Heading 2 keeps the words and fixes the clash.

Compress the oversized images

Fix in Strapi 587 images · 129.2 MB

Why it matters

Every visitor downloads these at full size, including anyone on a phone using mobile data. It is the single biggest thing slowing the site down, and Google counts page speed when it decides where to rank you.

Anything over 100 kB is worth compressing. Save photographs as JPG rather than PNG, and resize them to roughly the size they actually appear at — a full-width banner rarely needs to be wider than 1920 pixels.

A good target is under 300 kB for a full-width photo. Any image editor, or a free tool such as squoosh.app, will get there without visible loss of quality.

The footer shows one email address and sends to another

We need a decision Decision

Why it matters

The contact line in the footer displays marketing@ite.group, but the link behind it opens a message addressed to transport@ite.group.

So somebody who reads the address off the page and types it themselves reaches one inbox, and somebody who clicks it reaches another. Both are live, so nothing bounces — enquiries are simply arriving in two different places depending on how the visitor got there.

Where to change it

Tell us which inbox is the right one — the fix is in the same footer record

What we need from you. Which of the two should be receiving these enquiries? Once you tell us, both the visible text and the link are set to that one address, and it is a single edit in the same footer record as the broken links at the top of this report.

13

Three registration pages compete with each other

We need a decision Decision

Why it matters

Three separate addresses all carry the same heading, Visitor Registration. Search engines have to guess which one to show, and they may well pick the wrong one.

One of them, /en/visit/visitor-registration/, is the only address on the whole site that starts with /en/ — everything else sits at the top level, so it looks as though it was created by mistake.

Where to change it

Tell us which one is the real page — we will point the other two at it

PageIts headingIts title in Google
/visitor-registration/Visitor RegistrationForm - Visitor Registration
/pre-reg/Visitor RegistrationForm - Inform me when reg is live
/en/visit/visitor-registration/Visitor RegistrationRussian Form - Visitor Registration

What we need from you. Which of the three is the one you want people to land on? Note that /pre-reg/ is titled “inform me when reg is live”, which suggests it is the waiting-list page rather than registration itself — if so, it needs its own heading rather than a redirect. Once you tell us, we will point the others at whichever you keep.

14

Your pop-up tool is loading on every page and doing nothing

We need a decision Decision

Why it matters

OptinMonster, the tool used for sign-up pop-ups and banners, loads on all 288 pages of the site. On every single one it reports that trstexpo.com is not a registered domain on the account, and then stops.

So no pop-up has been shown to anyone. The script still downloads on every visit and makes a failed call to its server, which costs a little speed on every page for no return.

Where to change it

Your OptinMonster account — or tell us to remove it

What we need from you. Either add trstexpo.com to the OptinMonster account and the pop-ups start working, or tell us it is no longer used and we will take the script out. Both are quick — we just need to know which way you want it, because removing a tool you are paying for is not our call.

If you have time

Worth doing, not urgent

None of these is a problem. They are the difference between a site that is correct and one that is polished.

40 article titles get cut off in Google

They run past the roughly 60 characters Google shows, so the end is replaced with an ellipsis. The article still ranks — the reader just sees less of the headline. Worth shortening only on the articles you most want found: the 2026 anniversary piece currently runs to 134 characters.

128 descriptions run a few characters long

156–160 characters against a 155 guideline. Google will show almost all of them in full. Not worth opening a record for on its own.

Ten articles are quite short

35 to 180 words. They read as brief news announcements, which is fine — they are simply unlikely to rank on their own. Nothing is broken and the text displays correctly.

Two partner addresses contain capital letters

/partner/trans-russia-partner-WIFFA/ and /partner/trans-russia-partner-Moneta-Tanitim/. Both work. Renaming a live address costs you the links it has already earned, so this is worth doing only if one of them is brand new.

29 article addresses are very long

All of them built automatically from long headlines. Same reasoning — leave published addresses alone. Worth keeping in mind only for articles not yet written.

What happens now

Start with the footer

Three broken links in one record, on every page of the site, and the fix is three short addresses. Do that and the “Book Your Stand” banner next — between them they are what is costing you enquiries right now. Everything else can wait a week without harm.

Work down the list

The items are in priority order. The first five are short and specific; the descriptions and titles are the long ones. Every fix on your list can be made in Strapi and goes live when you publish — none of them need a deploy from us.

Answer the three decisions

Which inbox the footer email should use, which registration page is the real one, and whether the pop-up tool stays. Reply to this report and we will action all three.

We re-run the check

Once you have published your changes we run the same review again and send you a short before-and-after. No need to tell us when — just say the word.

Every item in this report was re-checked by hand against the live site on 19 August 2026, across all 289 pages listed in your sitemap, after a deeper scan that reached every page and every image in one pass. Things our scan flagged that turned out to be fine are not listed here. Suggested wording and suggested link targets are a starting point — please read them over before publishing, and change anything that does not match how you talk about the event.
