Three pages are still asking Google to leave them out

Fix in Strapi 3 pages

Why it matters

This has been the first item on every report since 20 August, and it is still the most valuable thing on this list. Connect is one of the three, and it sits in the main menu on every page of the site.

Every page has a setting called Canonical URL. It has one job: to tell Google “this page is a copy, list that other address instead.” Left empty, the site fills in the page’s own address, which is the right answer almost every time.

On these three it names somewhere else. Two point at pages that were deleted, so they are asking to be replaced by an error page, which in practice means asking to be dropped. The third, an article about the 2025 show, points at a different article altogether, “Emerging Threats in Global Security”, and carries that article’s search title and description as well.

Clear the field on all three. Two of them also need their search title and description replaced, because Google is being shown another page’s words.

Where to change it

Connect still carries the old Lead Scanning page’s settings. Its search title and description are the ones from the Lead Scanning page it replaced, which is also where its Canonical URL points. While you are in the record, the page text has a small typo: Leadscanning and Matrchmaking should read Matchmaking.

If the 2025 article is meant to be retired. Unpublish it instead. Pointing it at an unrelated article does not retire it, and leaves its headline and its Google listing describing two different things. In September we asked whether this was a deliberate merge; on reading both articles side by side, it is not, because they cover different subjects.

Verified. We read the code Google sees on all three pages on 2 October. /leadscanning/ and /sectors/perimeter-security/ both return 404 Not Found. All three pages themselves load normally.

The “Enquire to Exhibit” button on Integrated Safety Systems still leads to an error page

Fix in Strapi 1 button

Why it matters

Someone reading this sector page, interested enough to click Enquire to Exhibit, lands on a “page not found” error instead of your enquiry form.

The address is right apart from an asterisk and a space pasted in front of it. The browser reads the whole thing as one address it does not recognise.

This was on both earlier reports and is unchanged. It is a single field, and it is the one place on the site where a stand enquiry is being turned away.

Where to change it

Strapi → Sectors → Integrated Safety Systems → the Enquire to Exhibit button’s link

CurrentlyShould be

Only this one. Every other Enquire to Exhibit button on the sector pages points at the right address.

One stray character breaks a media partner link on 57 pages

Fix in Strapi 1 field · 57 pages

Why it matters

The СТА logo in the Media Partners strip links to cta.ru from 57 pages of the site, and on every one of them the link is dead.

The address is right. There is one backtick character on the end of it, which the browser treats as part of the address, so it asks for a page that does not exist.

All 57 pages draw it from the one partner entry, so one edit fixes them all. Unchanged since 20 August.

Where to change it

Strapi → the media partner entry for СТА → its website address

CurrentlyShould be

Eleven more links lead to error pages

Fix in Strapi 11 links · 7 pages

Why it matters

Each of these can be clicked today and each ends on an error page. All were re-tested on 2 October with an ordinary browser identity, and where a site refused our checker we opened it in a real browser before listing it.

The Visa and Explore Moscow ones matter more than their number suggests. The four links on the Visa page all point at your travel partner’s old English address, which now shows that site’s own “page not found” notice, in Russian. A visitor asking how to get a visa is handed an error they may not be able to read.

Five of these addresses were on the 20 August list and did not appear in September’s. They had not been fixed in between, so they are back here.

Where to change it

One more on the Visa page, and it is the odd one out. The phone number +7 (495) 935-83-85 under Visa-Russian.ru is linked to the content management system’s own editing screen, on a record belonging to a different ITE exhibition. Anyone who taps it gets a login page. This was on the 20 August report and is still there. Change the link to tel:+74959358385, or remove it and leave the number as plain text. We have not printed the address here because this report is on a public web page.

Four more we could not open: please click them yourself. The Director of Security logo (s-director.ru, in the Media Partners strip on 57 pages) and the View Website link on Y&H Cargo did not answer at all, either to our checker or in a real browser. Both may simply be closed to visitors from outside Russia, so check them from your side before changing anything. On Plan Your Travel, the booking links for Art Moscow 4* and Penta Hotel send the browser round in a loop and never open. If they fail for you too: Art Moscow’s main site, https://artmoscowhotel.ru/, works, and Penta’s Moscow page is https://www.pentahotels.com/hotels/russia/moscow-arbat. Ask Penta for a fresh booking link if the EXPO rate code still applies.

Two footer links work, but take a detour. Download the post-show report and Download event brochure in the footer are still missing their final slash, so every click on all 380 pages goes through a redirect first. In the footer text, change them to https://securikaexpo.com/post-show-report/ and https://securikaexpo.com/event-brochure/.

Fixed since August. The Woodex exhibition on About Organiser now points at the right address, woodexexpo.com.

Your homepage’s Google title, and five pages, still name an earlier show

Fix in Strapi 6 places

Why it matters

Securika Moscow 2027 runs 21–23 April 2027. The title Google shows for your homepage, which is the blue clickable line in a search result and also the headline when someone shares the site in a messenger, still ends “Securika Expo 2026”. The homepage itself says 2027. Only this one field is behind.

Five pages still describe the next show using an earlier year in their text. They are the same five as on 20 August.

Exhibitor Promotion matters most after the homepage. It invites exhibitors to bring their clients to “Securika 2026”, four times, and offers a ready-made invitation reading “Securika Moscow 2026 Exhibition April 22-24”. An exhibitor who copies that into an email sends customers to a show that has already happened. The page’s Google description is taken from the same opening sentence, so correcting the text corrects the description too.

Where to change it

Strapi → Homepage → SEO → Meta Title; for the five pages, the body text of each

Older years elsewhere are correct. Article headlines, the media gallery and the Exhibitor List 2026 link really are about earlier shows and should stay as they are.

Eight test, demo and thank-you pages are still public and in Google

Fix in Strapi 8 pages

Why it matters

These pages are published, listed in the sitemap your site sends to Google, and set to appear in search results. All eight were checked again on 2 October.

Three are test articles called “Become an Exhibitor”, and two of those still show Latin dummy text as their Google description. One is a demo copy of Partners & Sponsors that now has the same title as the real page, so Google sees two pages with one name. One is an internal page of design samples.

The other three are the confirmation pages people see after requesting a report. They are for people who have just filled in a form, and they should not be found in Google.

Where to change it

Strapi → each record → unpublish, or SEO → tick No Index

/thank-you/why-russia-indian-exhibitors/Confirmation page after requesting the Why India × Russia reportTick No Index
/thank-you/indian-compliance-report/Confirmation page after requesting the Indian Compliance reportTick No Index

Why No Index for the thank-you pages. Ticking No Index tells Google not to list a page and takes it out of the sitemap automatically, while it keeps working for anyone who arrives after filling in a form. Unpublishing would break that. For the five test and demo pages, either is fine.

Three similar-looking addresses are genuine: leave them. securika-article-4, -5 and -6 are real articles saved under a working address: the 30th edition, the Telegram channel announcement and the FSAI partnership. Do not unpublish those.

7

Twenty-two pages need a description written by hand

Fix in Strapi 22 pages

Why it matters

The description is the grey text under your link in a Google result: the two lines that decide whether someone clicks you or the result below you.

Seventeen pages have none at all, so Google makes up its own from whatever text it finds first. Fourteen of them are photo galleries. The September report sent you to the SEO tab for these, but galleries do not have one: their description comes from the gallery’s Short text field, which on all fourteen holds a single space. Short text is not shown anywhere on the gallery page, so filling it in changes only what Google shows. Keep each one under 150 characters, or the site will shorten it with “…”.

Five more are important pages where the site has written a description automatically from the opening text, and it stops mid-sentence with “…”. Google shows it exactly like that. A description written by hand replaces the automatic one.

Suggested wording for all 22 is below, drafted from what each page already says. Please read it before publishing and change anything that does not sound like you.

Where to change it

Retitle the 2023 gallery while you are there. The gallery at /media-gallery/exhibition-exposition-2023/ is titled Exhibition 2022, the same as the real 2022 gallery. Its photographs are a different set, and their file names mark them as 2023. Change its Title to Exhibition 2023.

No numbers in the suggestions, on purpose. Your visitor, country and speaker figures differ from page to page (see the decision further down), so none of the wording above quotes them. Add a figure once you have settled which one is right.

The working titles from August are done. In August ten pages still had titles such as Form - Why Russia Report. Nine now carry real titles; the tenth, /components/, is on the list above to be unpublished anyway.

Three images that act as links have no description, so screen readers announce them as just “link”

Fix in Strapi 3 images · every page

Why it matters

Alternative text is a short description stored with an image. Screen readers, the software blind and partially sighted visitors use to have a page read aloud, speak it in place of the picture.

When an image is the whole of a link, that description is also the link’s name. The YouTube and LinkedIn icons in your footer have none, so on every page a screen reader announces two links called simply “link”, with no clue where either goes. The Indian Compliance Report banner on the homepage and on India Exhibitors has the same problem.

The description lives on the image itself, so one entry fixes every page that uses it.

This was on our list in August. The 20 August report listed the footer icons as ours to fix. On re-checking, the link’s name comes straight from the image’s description in your media library, so three short entries fix it now and for good, with no deploy.

Ten image files account for a quarter of the site’s excess weight

Fix in Strapi 10 images · 49 MB

Why it matters

Every visitor downloads these at full size, on a phone and on mobile data as much as anywhere. Heavy images are the main thing slowing the site down, and Google takes page speed into account when it ranks.

The site has 886 images over 100 kB, 195 MB between them, four more than in September. These ten, all unchanged since August, make up 49 MB of that on their own. The five “Mockup” brochure covers are PNG files of 5 to 8 MB each, 32 MB together; re-saved as JPEG or WebP at about 80% quality, files like these typically shrink by 90% with no visible difference.

As a guide, a full-width banner rarely needs more than 300 kB, and an image inside an article rarely more than 150 kB.

Three different visitor figures are live across the site

We need a decision Decision · 22 pages

Why it matters

Your headline attendance figure appears in three versions. Thirteen pages, the homepage, Why Exhibit and all eleven sector pages, say 19,880. Nine pages, including About Securika, Why Visit and the brochure and post-show report pages, say 19,800+. India Exhibitors says 19,630+ in its figures block and 19,800+ further down the same page.

Countries and speakers disagree too. About Securika, Why Exhibit, Why Visit and Türkiye say 22 countries; all eleven sector pages say 26+. Six pages say 165 speakers; India Exhibitors says 150+.

The 20 August report found two visitor figures, and nothing has changed since; this review found the third, on India Exhibitors. Nothing is broken, but these are the numbers exhibitors use to justify a stand, and a figure that changes from page to page is the kind of thing a buyer notices.

Where to change it

What we need from you. Tell us which figures are right, or correct them yourselves: every one is in Strapi and none needs a deploy. A correction to August: we said then that the sector pages share one statistics table. They do not. The table sits inside each sector’s own page text, so it is eleven edits.

One more to keep in line. The homepage also says the show brings together exhibitors from 26 countries. If 22 is the right figure for countries represented, that sentence may need to change too.

12

Seven pairs of articles share a headline

We need a decision Decision · 14 articles

Why it matters

When two pages carry the same title, Google has to guess which to show, splits the credit between them, and usually shows neither as well as one would have done alone.

Five of these pairs are the same story published twice, in slightly different wording. Keep one and unpublish the other. Which one is your call; our suggestion is in the table.

Two pairs are genuinely different articles that were given the same headline. Keep both, and give each its own Meta Title, the title used only in search results, so the headline on the page can stay as it is.

Tell us before you unpublish. If an address has been shared by email or on social media, unpublishing it turns that link into an error. Tell us which copy you are keeping and we will forward the old address to it, so both links keep working.

Partly done since September. The first article in the AAM series now has its own search title, AAM Systems Launches Security Solutions Webinar Series. The two in the table are the ones still sharing. The three “Become an Exhibitor” copies and the Partners & Sponsors demo are covered in the test-pages item above.

Ten pages cannot be reached by clicking around the site

We need a decision Decision · 10 pages

Why it matters

We followed every link on all 380 pages. Five pages are never the destination of any of them. Five more, the travel guide pages, are linked only from Explore Moscow, which is itself one of the five. The only way to reach any of the ten is to know the address or find it in Google.

Sponsorship Enquiry is the one to look at first: a page whose whole purpose is to bring in sponsors, with nothing on the site pointing at it.

This matters for search as well as for visitors. Google treats a link from one of your own pages as a vote of confidence, and a page with none is one it has little reason to rank.

Where to change it

Tell us where they belong, or add them to the menu or footer in Strapi

Our suggestion. Sponsorship Enquiry beside Exhibit Enquiry, or from Become a Partner. Matchmaking and Exhibitor Promotion under Exhibit. Explore Moscow under Attend or from Plan Your Travel, which brings the five travel pages with it. Terms of Visiting in the footer beside the other policy links. If any of these are campaign pages that should stay hidden, tick No Index on them instead.

Fixed since August. About Organiser was on this list in August. It is now in the menu on every page.

Your pop-up tool still loads on every page and still cannot run

We need a decision Decision · 380 pages

Why it matters

Every page loads a script from OptinMonster, the pop-up and email-capture tool. On every page it fails, because securikaexpo.com is not registered as a site in the OptinMonster account the script belongs to. So no OptinMonster campaign can appear on this site, whatever is set up in the account.

Nothing visible is broken. But every visitor downloads and runs the script before it finds it has nothing to do.

This was a decision on the 20 August report and nothing has changed.

Where to change it

Register the domain in your OptinMonster account, or tell us to remove the script

The referrer site could not be found. It may not have been registered with OptinMonster. Domain provided: (securikaexpo.com)OptinMonster’s answer for this site, requested again on 2 October.

What we need from you. Either add securikaexpo.com to the OptinMonster account so campaigns can run, or tell us the tool is no longer used and we will take the script off the site. Both take minutes.

If you have time

Worth doing, not urgent

None of these is a problem. They are the difference between a site that is correct and one that is polished.

Ten descriptions you wrote run a few characters long

Google shows roughly the first 155 characters of a description. These run to between 156 and 160, so the last word or two is cut: the homepage, About Securika, Sectors and Why Visit, and six articles: Fire Safety Compliance Guidelines, Innovative Approaches to Perimeter Security, Navigating the Shift to Cloud-Based Surveillance, PozhTech 2026 Industry Conference, Securika Moscow 2026 Exhibitors & Technologies Digest No.2 and The Future of CCTV. Trimming one clause is enough. A correction to September: we said then that the Fire Safety and Perimeter Security descriptions were written automatically and would shorten themselves. They did not, because both were typed into the description field, so they are yours after all.

124 articles show a description that stops mid-sentence

Where an article has no description of its own, the site writes one from its opening lines and ends it with “…”, and on 124 articles that is what Google shows. Worth writing a proper one whenever you next edit an article, starting with the ones you promote. Not worth a dedicated pass.

143 page titles are too long, and 48 are very short

Google shows about the first 60 characters of a title. 138 of the 143 long ones are articles whose headline doubles as the title: put a shorter version in the article’s Meta Title field and the headline on the page stays as it is. At the other end, titles such as Y&H Cargo, Media Gallery and About Organiser use about a quarter of the space. Media Gallery | Securika Moscow 2027 works harder and costs nothing.

Sixteen descriptions are very short

Under 70 characters, so they use less than half the space Google gives you. The weakest is Terms of Visiting, whose description, and the line under its heading, is “Some important info”. A suggestion: The visiting rules for events organised by ITE Expo International, including Securika Moscow: admission, badges and rules of conduct for visitors.

Image descriptions: one habit worth changing

1,702 images have no description in the media library, and 1,607 of those are photographs in the 14 galleries; for event photos, leaving them blank is a reasonable choice. More useful: 227 images on 131 pages, mostly inside articles, have their file name as their description, such as “2 (1).webp” or “TRASSIR.webp”, which a screen reader reads out as it stands. A short phrase saying what the picture shows is better, and costs nothing when you next edit those articles.

Empty heading lines inside page text

There are 56 blank lines left in a heading style, on 48 pages. Most visitors never notice them, but a screen reader announces each one as an empty heading. 45 of the pages are articles; the others are Connect (one), Indian Compliance Report (two) and Plan Your Travel (three). Delete the blank line, or switch it to normal text, when you are next in the page.

Google is being sent none of your event detail

Each page has a field for structured data, a machine-readable summary that lets Google show dates, venue and images in a search result rather than a plain blue link. It is empty on all 380 pages. This is a project rather than an edit, and it is the biggest untapped opportunity on the site. Tell us when you want to look at it and we will scope it with you.

A date typo in the 2025 press release

The 2025 press release says the 30th Securika Moscow takes place “April 23 to 25, 2023”. The 30th edition was in 2025; your own article on it gives 23 to 25 April 2025.

Some links need a human eye once or twice a year

Several partner, hotel and research links refuse automated checks: Hilton, Radisson, ResearchGate, ScienceDirect, IFSEC Global, Fortune Business Insights, Investopedia and the ITE exhibitor catalogue among them. We have no reason to think any is broken, but they cannot be monitored automatically, so they are worth clicking through by hand now and then. Separately, the WorldExpo logo in the partner strip now lands on WorldExpo’s general events page rather than its Moscow page; worth asking them for a current address.

On our side

What changed on our side

Four changes have shipped since the earlier reports and one has partly shipped. One new fault turned up in this review. It is ours, and it is at the top.

No action needed from your team

New in this review: the article archive and the About Organiser page sometimes fail on a first visit. Instead of the page, the visitor gets a bare error screen saying the page could not load, with no menu, no content and nothing to click. In our tests it happened on roughly one first visit in four to the archive and one in three to About Organiser. A reload brings the page back, which is why it is easy to miss. It was not happening in the August review. It is the most serious thing we found, and it is ours to fix

/articles/ and /about-ite/ · re-tested 2 October

Code

Shipped since September: extra “Heading 1” lines inside page text are now corrected by the site itself. That was item 10 on the 14 September report, and it is closed without anyone editing anything. About Securika and the three report pages each carry exactly one main heading now

all 380 pages now have exactly one main heading

Code

Shipped since September: descriptions the site writes automatically now stop at 150 characters. Over-long descriptions went from 93 pages to 10, and the 10 that remain were written by hand; they are in the optional list above

83 pages corrected

Code

Shipped since August: every page used to make a hidden request for a file that does not exist, prompted by the Sitemap link in the footer. That request is gone

was on 338 pages in August

Code

Partly shipped since August: on a phone, the statistics table on the sector pages no longer pushes the whole page sideways. It now scrolls inside its own box. Nothing yet tells a visitor that it scrolls, though, so the third column still looks cut off part-way through “26+ Countries Represented”. One article table, on detecting data breaches, behaves the same way

all 11 sector pages and 1 article · checked at phone size on 2 October

Code

Shipped since August: the site now tells browsers to always use its secure address. This is one of the standard browser security settings that were missing in August

What happens now

Start with the short ones at the top

Three Canonical URL fields cleared, with the two titles and descriptions that go with them. The asterisk removed from the Enquire to Exhibit button. The backtick removed from the СТА partner entry. The year in the homepage’s Meta Title. Under half an hour between them, and they stop Connect, a sector page and an article asking Google to drop them.

Then the links and the slips

Eleven links repointed or removed, the Visa phone number unlinked from the editing screen, two footer slashes, the five slips, and three image descriptions that name the footer links on every page. About an hour.

Then the writing

Twenty-two descriptions, fourteen of them galleries that follow one pattern. The five pages still naming an earlier show. Eight test, demo and thank-you pages unpublished or ticked No Index. The ten heaviest images re-saved.

Four decisions, when you are ready

Which visitor, country and speaker figures are right; which copy of each duplicate article to keep; where the ten unreachable pages belong; and whether the pop-up tool stays. Reply to this report and we will act on all four.

If someone says the articles page will not load

That is the fault described under “What changed on our side”. A reload brings the page back. Nothing is needed from your team.

We re-run the check

Once you have published your changes we run the same review again and send you a short before-and-after. No need to tell us when; just say the word.

This follows the reports of 14 September and 20 August, and unlike September’s it includes a full browser pass. On 1 October each of the 379 public pages in your sitemap was loaded one by one in a real browser, leaving out only the internal /components/ page. Phone-sized layout, the mobile menu and accessibility were checked on 47 pages covering every top-level page and one of each kind of article, sector, gallery and thank-you page, and the phone checks were then repeated on all 11 sector pages, all 14 galleries, the three thank-you pages and the 27 articles that contain a table. On 1 and 2 October all 380 sitemap pages were fetched and read, every link named in this report was requested again with an ordinary browser identity, and the ones that failed were opened in a real browser before being listed. The article archive and About Organiser were loaded repeatedly from a cold start to measure the fault described above. Things the scans flagged that turned out to be fine are not listed: of 1,218 individual flags raised by the page-by-page pass, 758 were the single pop-up tool item, and most of the rest were a handful of causes counted once per page. What this review did not do: no form was submitted, so we have not confirmed that enquiries and registrations arrive; each page was loaded once in the main pass, so another intermittent fault could have been missed; and articles other than the 27 with tables were not checked at phone size. Changes on our side that earlier reports described as in progress and that have not yet shipped are not repeated here; the ones that have shipped are named above. Suggested wording is a starting point: please read it over before publishing, and change anything that does not sound like you.
