One article is still telling Google it does not exist

Fix in Strapi 1 page

Why it matters

Every page carries a setting called Canonical URL, and it has one purpose: to tell Google “this page is a duplicate, index that other address instead of this one.” Left empty, the site fills in the page’s own address, which is the right answer almost every time.

On this article it is filled in with an address that is not a real page. So the article is telling Google its true home is somewhere else, and that somewhere else returns an error — which amounts to asking to be dropped from search entirely. The article itself is live and reads perfectly well.

This was the first item on the 26 August report and is unchanged. It is one empty box, it takes two minutes, and it is the single highest-value fix on this list.

Where to change it

Strapi → Articles → “Russian printed paper market in 2024” → SEO → Canonical URL — clear the field

ArticleCanonical URL currently saysChange it to
Russian printed paper market in 2024an address that does not existClear the field

There is nothing to type in. The fix is to empty the box. The site then fills the field in correctly by itself with the article’s own address.

Fourteen pages have no description for search results

Fix in Strapi 14 pages · down from 26

Why it matters

The description is the grey text under your link in a Google result — the two lines that decide whether somebody clicks you or the result below you. On these fourteen there is nothing there at all.

This is the item that has moved most since August: it was 26 pages and is now 14, and most of what remains is photo galleries. Thank you — that shows in the numbers.

Suggested wording is below for every one. Please read it over before publishing, because it goes out under Printech’s name.

Where the wording comes from. We only used claims your own site already makes. “Eurasia’s leading exhibition for printing and advertising production technologies” is the sentence on your homepage. We have deliberately not quoted visitor or exhibitor figures anywhere — those change each edition and would need checking against this year’s numbers before they went out.

Two more pages have no description and should not be described. A components reference page and a placeholder speaker page also come up empty. Please leave both alone. Neither should be public at all and we are removing them from search on our side — there is nothing for your team to do there.

Six photo galleries share the same one-word description

Fix in Strapi 6 pages

Why it matters

All six Conference Programme galleries — 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2026 and one with no year — have the same description: the single word “Printech”.

One word tells a searcher nothing about which gallery they are about to open. And because all six say exactly the same thing, Google treats them as duplicates of one another and is unlikely to list any of them.

One sentence each is enough to separate them.

Where to change it

Strapi → Media Gallery → each Conference Programme gallery → SEO → Meta Description

Conference sessions and speakers at Printech [year], Crocus Expo Moscow — [what the talks covered].A pattern that works — fill in the two brackets and each gallery is distinct

Their titles are worth a moment too. The same six pages have very short titles — “Conference Programme 2023” and so on. Adding the year and the word Printech to each, as in Printech 2023 Conference Programme — Photo Gallery, helps them stand apart in results and costs nothing.

4

A heading inside an article body is using the wrong level

Fix in Strapi 1 page

Why it matters

Heading 1 is the style reserved for a page’s own main title. It tells Google “this is what the page is about”, and there should be exactly one on a page.

On this page the text block starts with “What You’ll Find at Printech” formatted as a Heading 1, so the page now has two competing answers to what it is about. Every other sector page has just one.

Changing that one heading from Heading 1 to Heading 2 will look almost identical on the page. Nothing else needs to change. Unchanged since August.

Where to change it

Strapi → Equipment and Materials for Wide Format Printing → the text editor → change to Heading 2

Three links lead nowhere

Fix in Strapi 3 links · down from 5

Why it matters

Each of these was checked individually on 14 September with an ordinary browser identity, so none is a case of a website simply refusing automated requests.

Down from five in August, so two have already been dealt with.

The third row is the canonical field from the first item on this report, listed here again so the picture of what is broken is complete.

Where to change it

Strapi → the page or article named → the link address

Ten others were checked and left alone. The scan also flagged the Moscow city site, the Ministry of Industry, the ITE catalogue, Radisson, Smithers and ResearchGate as broken. They are not — those sites refuse automated checks but open perfectly well in a browser. They are not listed here and need no action.

Photo descriptions are missing across the site

Fix in Strapi 817 of 1,099 images

Why it matters

Every image can carry a short written description. It is read aloud to a blind visitor by a screen reader, and it is how Google works out what a photograph shows. On 817 of your 1,099 images that field is empty.

We checked one gallery by hand to be sure the number is real rather than a quirk of the scan: on the Exhibition 2025 gallery, 36 of 40 photographs have no description.

Unchanged since August, and it is an ongoing job rather than an afternoon. Doing it in the order below puts the effort where it returns the most.

Where to change it

Strapi → Media Library → each image → Alternative text

Suggested order. 1. Homepage and sector page images, roughly 40 photographs, which carry the most traffic. 2. Article header images, roughly 110, which are the ones that surface in search results. 3. Gallery photographs, the bulk of the total — a short description per gallery, applied to each photo in it, is perfectly acceptable.

What a good description looks like. Say what is in the picture. “Operator loading sheets into a flexographic press at Printech 2025” is useful. “Printech” is not, and “image” is not. If an image is purely decorative — a background texture, a divider — leaving it empty is the correct answer rather than a gap.

If you have time

Worth doing, not urgent

None of these is a problem. They are the difference between a site that is correct and one that is polished.

Twenty-four page titles are shorter than they need to be

Google gives you about 60 characters for a title. Pages like About ITE (9 characters), Y&H Cargo (9), Contact Us (10) and Exhibition 2023 (15) use a fraction of that, which leaves persuading space unused in every result. Up from 11 in August, mostly because of new gallery and article pages. Suggested replacements: About ITE Group — Organisers of Printech Moscow; Contact the Printech Team — Moscow Exhibition Enquiries; Y&H Cargo — Official Logistics Partner for Printech; Printech 2023 Exhibition — Photo Gallery, and the same pattern for 2024 and 2025; Printech Is Open — Show Floor Highlights, Day One.

Six page titles are cut off in search results

Anything over about 60 characters gets trimmed mid-sentence. The longest here runs to 164 characters — “RosUpack And Printech 2024: Record-Breaking Exhibition Area And Number Of Participants, Hot Topics Of Business Events, New Geographies, Partners And Business Tools”. Front-load the words that matter and let the rest live in the article body. Each page has a separate Meta Title field used only for search results, so the headline on the page can stay as it is.

Thirty-two article headings are very long

The main heading on these articles runs past 70 characters and several past 130. These are your article titles, so this is editorial judgement rather than a defect — but shorter headings read better on the page and travel better in search and on social media.

The twelve photo galleries look alike to a search engine

Each gallery page carries about 24 words of text and nothing else, so Google scores them 90 to 97% similar to one another. The photographs differ; the words do not. Two or three sentences per gallery would separate them properly. The six worst are covered as a fix above; the rest would benefit from the same treatment.

Four descriptions you wrote are slightly over length

Ten descriptions run past the point where Google trims, but six of those are written automatically by the site and we are shortening them on our side — you will see those correct themselves with no action. These four are hand-written, so no change of ours will touch them: About Printech (159 characters), 5 Key Reasons to Participate in Printech (156), Top Machines Used for Advertising Structure Production (159) and Sponsorship Enquiry (158). Trimming each to about 150 is enough, and it is only worth doing if you are in the record anyway.

549 images are larger than they need to be

Slightly better than August, when it was 558. The site has no automatic image compression, so whatever is uploaded is exactly what every visitor downloads, which is felt most on a phone. Re-saving the biggest gallery photographs at around 200 kB before upload makes a visible difference, and it fits naturally alongside the photo descriptions job above — both are done image by image.

On our side

What we are handling

Found in the same review, but ours to put right rather than yours.

No action needed from your team

The main menu’s dropdown links do not exist in the page as a search engine reads it, so Google cannot follow them. That is why 67 articles and 12 galleries cannot be reached by browsing and are found through your sitemap alone, earning nothing from the rest of the site. It is the largest structural limitation on this site

Google is being sent no structured data at all — the machine-readable summary that lets a search result show your dates, venue and images rather than just a blue link. Rather than ask your team to write 147 of them we are generating it from the information already in Strapi

What happens now

Start with the canonical field

One empty box on the “Russian printed paper market in 2024” article. It is the second report in a row carrying it, it takes two minutes, and until it is done that article is asking Google to leave it out of search entirely.

Then the descriptions

Fourteen pages using the suggested wording, plus one sentence each on the six Conference Programme galleries that currently all say the word “Printech”. Between them that is the bulk of what is left on this list, and it is the change that shows up fastest in search.

Then the small ones

One heading changed from Heading 1 to Heading 2 on the Wide Format Printing page, and two links repointed — the hotel booking link on Plan Your Travel and the lead-scanning link in the RosUpack article. Under half an hour for all three.

Treat the photo descriptions as ongoing

817 images is not an afternoon and should not be planned as one. Do the homepage and sector images first, then article headers, then galleries a gallery at a time — and build it into publishing, so anything new arrives described rather than joining the backlog.

Ask us if anything here is unclear

Every suggested description and title in this report is a starting point drafted from what is already on the page, not from your marketing plan. Change anything that does not sound like you, and reply to this report if you would rather we drafted something differently.

We re-run the check

Once you have published your changes we run the same review again and send you a short before-and-after, as we did between 26 August and today. No need to tell us when — just say the word.

This is a search-engine review, carried out on 14 September 2026 as a follow-up to the report of 26 August. 151 addresses were crawled and every count here was measured rather than estimated. Where a scan and the live page disagreed we went with the page: the canonical field and every dead link in this report were re-read directly on 14 September with an ordinary browser identity, and the photo description count was spot-checked against a real gallery, where 36 of 40 images were confirmed to have none. Several things the scan raised were checked, found to be fine and left out — ten external links it called broken open perfectly well in a browser; the spelling warnings fire on Printech, RosUpack, flexographic and prepress; the articles it called too short are not, since “Printech is open!” serves 205 words rather than the near-zero it reported; the gallery pages are brief because they are photo pages, which is correct, and only their description field needs work; and the exhibitor list page titled “Redirecting…” is working as designed. The suggested wording in this report uses only claims your own site already makes, and deliberately quotes no visitor or exhibitor figures — please read it over before publishing and change anything that does not sound like you. This was a search review rather than a full browser sweep, so layout and accessibility were not re-tested on this run.
