Three of the hotel booking buttons lead nowhere
Why it matters
Thirteen hotels are listed on Plan Your Travel, twelve of them with a Book Your Stay button. Three of those twelve now land the visitor on an error page instead of a booking form.
Two of them — ibis and Novotel — return a message meaning “this page has been permanently removed”. The hotel group has retired those addresses; both hotels still exist and both still take bookings, just at a different address. Edge Seligerskaya returns a plain page-not-found.
This is the page someone opens once they have already decided to come to the show. A button that fails here costs a room booking and it is the last impression they take away from the site.
Where to change it
Strapi → Plan Your Travel → the hotel list → each hotel’s Book Your Stay link
| Hotel | Button currently points to | What happens today |
|---|---|---|
| Ibis Moscow Kievskaya 3* | Permanently removed by the hotel group | |
| Novotel Moscow Kievskaya 4* | Permanently removed by the hotel group | |
| Edge Seligerskaya-Moscow | Page not found |
What to put there instead. Each hotel’s current booking page, taken from the hotel’s own website. If a hotel has dropped out of the discount scheme, removing the listing is the better answer — an entry with no working way to book is worse than no entry.
One hotel has no booking button at all. Royal Zenith Hotel is listed with a View Location button but no Book Your Stay button beside it, unlike the other twelve. Worth checking whether its link was ever filled in.
Two that look broken but are not. The Radisson Slavyanskaya and Chekhoff Hotel (Hilton) buttons are refused by automated checkers because those two chains block software that is not a person. We opened both by hand — they work normally. No action needed.
Verified. All twelve booking links were requested individually on 21 August, and the three above were re-checked by hand as a normal browser would. The other nine open correctly.
