Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy still go nowhere

Fix in Strapi 3 links · every page

Why it matters

This has now been on three reports running. At the bottom of every page on the site, Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy look like links, and clicking any of them does nothing at all.

The cause is that the Link To field is empty on all three records, so the site has nothing to point them at and falls back to a link that leads back to the page you are already on.

These are the links a visitor clicks when they want to know what happens to their data. A privacy policy that cannot be reached is a problem well beyond search.

Where to change it

If the pages do not exist yet. They need to be written. Until they are, remove the three links rather than leaving ones that do nothing. Tell us and we will help either way.

While you are in the footer — the copyright line. It reads “©ExpoCifra 2025. All Right Reserved”. Change it to “©ExpoCifra 2026. All Rights Reserved”.

And three links that take an extra hop. Visitor Registration, Become an Exhibitor and Download Event Brochure are stored without the “/” on the end (/event-brochure rather than /event-brochure/). They work — every visit just takes an extra step first. This is the third report to list them, and they are three edits in the same screen.

“Exhibitor List 2026” opens the Russian-language list

Fix in Strapi 1 redirect · menu and 3 pages

Why it matters

The Exhibitor List 2026 item in the main menu goes to an in-between page on your site, which then forwards the visitor to the exhibitor list on the online manual. It forwards to the Russian version, so visitors on this English site land on “Список участников”. An English version exists and works.

The same redirect sits behind “Explore Exhibitor List” on the homepage and “Explore the 2026 Exhibitor List” on Why Visit and Why Exhibit, so this one change fixes all of them.

The Exhibitor Resource Centre has four links that lead to an error

Fix in Strapi 4 links · 1 page

Why it matters

The three stand-type cards — Standard Shell Scheme, Premium Shell Scheme and Individual Construction — each have a round arrow button. All three point at /exhibit-enquiry/, which does not exist. The real enquiry page is at /exhibiting-enquiry/ — note the “ing”. The buttons have no text on them, which is why they are easy to miss.

A fourth link on the same page, Order Online, points at techstore.ite.group/login, which also returns “page not found”. All four are on one page, so this is one trip into Strapi.

Order Online. The page it points at no longer exists. Repoint the link to the current ordering page, or remove it.

A small tidy-up in an article. In HealthTech Revolution: Medical Electronics and Telemedicine in the Age of Connectivity, the “ExpoCifra exhibit enquiry” link points at /exhibiting-enquiry/?utm_source=chatgpt.com. Delete everything from the ? onwards.

Four “Book your Stay” hotel buttons on Plan Your Travel are dead

Fix in Strapi 4 links · 1 page

Why it matters

This is the page a visitor opens when they are ready to book their trip, so a dead button here costs a booking. Each of these was opened by hand in a real browser, so none is a case of a website simply refusing automated checks.

Replace each with the hotel’s current booking page, or remove that hotel from the list.

Four articles carry links that no longer work

Fix in Strapi 16 links · 4 articles

Why it matters

The article that matters most here is the Electronica Prize voting one. It lists twelve companies, each shown as a long raw web address rather than a name, and every one of the twelve pages has been removed. The voting closed long ago, so the simplest fix is to remove the list.

Where to change it

Please click these yourself. We could not reach these from our location. They may simply be blocked for visitors outside Russia or India, but if they fail for you too they need replacing: Exhibitor Resource Centre → “Access Here” (exhibitor.ite-expo.ru); the article One day left until ExpoElectronica and ExpoCifra 2025 opens → “LIST OF PARTICIPANTS 2025”, “INTERACTIVE PLAN 2025” and “PRODUCT CATALOGUE 2025” (catalogue.ite-expo.ru); the article ExpoCifra 2025 exhibitors list published → “EXPOELECTRONICA AND EXPOCIFRA 2025 PARTICIPANTS”; and Y&H Cargo → “View Website” (yhcargoindia.com).

Links that look dead but are fine. tadviser.ru (on 31 pages), UNESCO, OECD, Radisson, Hilton and ResearchGate refused our automated checker but open normally in a browser. No action is needed.

Eleven photo galleries have the single word “ExpoCifra” as their whole description

Fix in Strapi 11 pages

Why it matters

The description is the grey text under your link in a Google result. It is the two lines that decide whether someone clicks you or clicks the result below you.

On these eleven the field contains one word and nothing else, so that is the entire search result — and it is spelled three different ways across the set: ExpoCifra, expocifra and Expocifra. This is unchanged since September.

They follow one pattern — write the first, then change the year and the event. Suggested wording is below for every one; please read it over before publishing, it goes out in your name.

One article is published twice

Fix in Strapi 1 article · 2 pages

Why it matters

From Virtual Classrooms to AI Tutors: How EdTech Is Reshaping Digital Learning exists at two addresses. Google sees the same story twice, has to guess which to show, and splits whatever credit the article earns between the two.

Two pairs of different articles share the same Google title

Fix in Strapi 4 articles

Why it matters

The title is the blue clickable line in a Google result. When two articles carry the same one, Google has to pick one of each pair and the two compete with each other. Each article already has its own headline on the page, so only the search title needs changing.

The wording below is a starting point. Please read it over before publishing.

Where to change it

Strapi → Articles → the article → SEO → Meta Title

The other article in each pair. In the first pair, Introducing A New Participant In The ITECH X RU Sector! can keep the shared title. In the second pair only one of the two has to change, so you can keep the current title on the “Last Chance” article and change the IVK one alone.

Three image-only links on every page have no description

Fix in Strapi 3 images · every page

Why it matters

Every image can carry a short written description, used in two places: a screen reader reads it aloud to a blind visitor, and Google uses it to understand what the picture shows. When the picture is the only thing inside a link, that description is the link’s only name.

The ExpoElectronica logo in the header and the LinkedIn and YouTube icons in the footer all have that field empty. Someone using a screen reader hears three unlabelled links and cannot tell where they lead. Three edits, and each one covers every page of the site.

Four pages that were never meant for the public are visible to Google

Fix in Strapi 4 pages

Why it matters

All four are published and eligible to appear in search results. The first two are internal pages with placeholder content; the other two are confirmation pages that someone arriving from Google would land on for a form they never filled in.

The partners and sponsors demo page is new since September. It carries made-up sponsors and is titled “Partners & Sponsors”, just like the real page.

Where to change it

Strapi → each page → unpublish it (the two demo pages) or SEO → tick noIndex (the two thank-you pages)

Ticking noIndex also removes a page from the sitemap. You do not need to do anything else, and nothing changes for someone who has just submitted a form — they still see the page.

The event information block is missing the two details Google asks for

Fix in Strapi 1 edit · homepage

Why it matters

Your homepage sends Google a structured summary of the event — its name, dates, venue and organiser — which is what lets a search result show an event card rather than a plain blue link. It is filled in and nearly complete.

Two fields are empty, and they are the two Google asks for. There is no ticket or registration entry, which is what Google uses to show “Free” or a price directly in the result. And the venue address has street, city and country but no postcode.

Where to change it

Strapi → the homepage → SEO → JSON-LD

Where to get the postcode. Take it from Crocus Expo’s own contact details. We have not verified one and will not guess at an address that goes out in your name.

Hand it to a developer if that is easier. This is the most technical item on the list. It is a single field containing a block of structured text, and passing this paragraph to whoever maintains the site is a perfectly good way to get it done.

A sign-up pop-up tool is failing on every page

We need a decision Decision · every page

Why it matters

The site loads a pop-up from OptinMonster. OptinMonster’s service answers every page with “referrer site not registered” — your domain is not registered on the account that owns the pop-up — and a second request on every page comes back as not found. In practice the pop-up is not working, and it has been left that way since August.

Either someone registers cifraexpo.com in the OptinMonster account, or the pop-up comes off the site. Which one depends on whether you still want it, and only your team knows that.

Some brand-colour text is below the readable-contrast standard

We need a decision Decision · 15 of 33 pages checked

Why it matters

On 15 of the 33 pages we checked for accessibility, some text does not have enough contrast against its background to meet the widely used standard. All of it is in your brand colours: bold labels, small text on article cards, the partner-site links on About ITE Group, the hotel buttons on Plan Your Travel, the titles and submit buttons of the forms, and bold words inside page text.

Nothing is broken, and the site can stay as it is. Changing it would alter how the brand looks, so it is your call.

A statistics table looks cut off on a phone

We need a decision Decision · 11 of 12 sector pages

Why it matters

Every sector page except one carries the same table: “5,470+ Visitors”, “100+ Exhibitors” and “20+ Conference Sessions”, in large type. On a phone it is wider than the screen.

It is not broken: the table scrolls sideways when you swipe it. But nothing tells a visitor that, and at first glance “20+ Conference Sessions” looks cut off mid-word.

Where to change it

Tell us which option you prefer. Replacing the table is an edit in Strapi on each sector page

If you have time

Worth doing, not urgent

None of these is a problem. They are the difference between a site that is correct and one that is polished.

1,040 images are larger than they need to be — 248 MB in total

This is unchanged since September. The site has no automatic image resizing, so the file you upload is exactly the file every visitor downloads, which is felt most on a phone. Start with the stock photos, because each is used on several pages: shutterstock_2507473445 (4.8 MB, 3 pages), shutterstock_1095302834 (2.1 MB, 6 pages), shutterstock_2409787129 (1.8 MB, 9 pages), shutterstock_609540101 (1.8 MB, 7 pages), shutterstock_2570398095 (1.2 MB, 6 pages) and the Colorful_Blobs banner (831 kB, 11 pages). A full-width header image rarely needs to be more than 200 kB, and nothing on the site needs to be more than 500 kB.

Image descriptions on the rest of the library — about 1,500 images

Most of the remaining images without a description are gallery photos, plus three small graphics that repeat on all 11 sector pages. This is background work with modest returns. The one rule worth adopting now is to give new images a description when they are uploaded, so the backlog stops growing.

Forty-four titles are cut off in Google, and a few say very little

Google shows roughly the first 60 characters of a title and trims the rest, so the part that persuades someone to click is never seen. Almost all of the 44 are articles. You do not need to rename anything — each page has a separate SEO title field used only for search results — and there is no need to work through all 44: start with the newest and most important. A few titles also say very little: “Visa”, “Y&H Cargo” and “Contact Us” could each say what the page offers, for example “Visa Support for ExpoCifra Visitors | Moscow”. 112 pages use their headline as their title, which is fine and needs no action.

The homepage figure “23,400+” is a little wider than its column on some screens

On a desktop screen between 1024 and 1440 pixels wide it overhangs its column by up to 36 pixels. It stays fully readable and never touches the figure beside it, so this is cosmetic only. If you want it tidied, use a smaller size for long figures.

On our side

What we are handling

Ours rather than yours. Since 15 September these have shipped: search engines can now follow the main menu’s drop-down links, including Why Visit and Plan Your Travel; the double main heading on three pages is gone; the homepage introduction is no longer cut off on a phone; and the header that forces a secure connection is in place. The event details block that used to appear on every page now sits on the homepage only, which is where it belongs. In the browser check the mobile menu opened on every page checked, no page crashed, and no layout was broken.

No action needed from your team

Making a footer link with nothing behind it render as plain text rather than as a link. The three legal links at the top of this report are the reason: a link that goes nowhere is worse than no link, and this has now survived three reports. What happens now

Start with the footer, again

Three legal links with nothing behind them, on every page, for the third report running. If the pages exist it is three fields. If they do not, tell us — that is a bigger conversation than SEO. While you are in there, fix the copyright line and the three trailing slashes.

Then the quick ones

The Exhibitor List redirect, which sends English visitors to the Russian list, is one field. The Exhibitor Resource Centre links are four more on one page, the three image descriptions cover every page at once, and the four hidden pages are a tick or an unpublish each. The four hotel buttons on Plan Your Travel are worth doing early because that is where a visitor books.

Then the descriptions, titles and old links

Eleven galleries that follow one pattern — write the first and change the year — then four main pages, the shared article titles, the duplicate article and the dead links in four articles. Apart from the image clean-up and the three decisions, the whole list is about half a day in Strapi.

Read the suggested wording before you use it

Every title, description and image description we have drafted is a starting point, written from what is on the page, not from your marketing plan. Change anything that does not sound like you.

Three decisions from you

What to do about the OptinMonster pop-up, whether the brand-colour text gets a deeper shade, and what to do about the statistics table on phones. Reply to this report with your answers and we will action them — or tell us to leave any of them as they are.

We re-run the check

Once you have published your changes, we run the same review again and send you a short before-and-after. No need to tell us when — just say the word.

This review had two parts, run on two dates. The search-engine crawl ran on 2 October and covered 181 addresses: all 175 pages in your sitemap plus six redirects and error addresses. The browser check ran on 5 October and loaded 174 sitemap pages in a real browser, with the internal component showcase left out. The phone-sized check covered one page of each page type plus all 12 sector pages, and the accessibility check ran on 33 of them, so a shared part of the site such as the footer is reported once but applies wherever it appears. The browser check raised 1,619 individual flags. Each was looked at, and the real problems are in this report; things that turned out to be fine are left out — including images reported as broken that were only slow to arrive, errors from outside services such as reCAPTCHA, analytics and YouTube, and links to other websites that refuse automated visitors but open normally for a person. Each page was loaded once, so this lists what we found, which is not the same as every page being free of problems. Because the two parts ran three days apart, a page count in one may differ slightly from the other. Suggested wording is a starting point — please read it over before publishing and change anything that does not sound like you.
