Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy still go nowhere

Fix in Strapi 3 links · every page

Why it matters

This was the first item on the report of 24 August and it is unchanged. At the bottom of every page on the site, Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy look like links, and clicking any of them does nothing at all.

The cause is that the Link To field is empty on all three records, so the site has nothing to point them at and falls back to a link that leads back to the page you are already on.

These are the two or three links a visitor clicks when they want to know what happens to their data. A privacy policy that cannot be reached is a problem well beyond search.

Where to change it

Footer linkLink To field currentlyWhat to do

Privacy PolicyemptyFill in the address of the page
Cookie PolicyemptyFill in the address of the page

If the pages do not exist yet. That is worth knowing in its own right, and it changes what to do: remove the three links until the pages are written, rather than leaving links that do nothing. Tell us and we will help either way.

While you are in the footer — the copyright line. It reads “©ExpoCifra 2025. All Right Reserved”. It is a year out of date, and “Right” should be “Rights”. Confirmed on the live homepage on 15 September.

And three links that take an extra hop. Visitor Registration, Become an Exhibitor and Download Event Brochure are stored without the “/” on the end (/event-brochure rather than /event-brochure/). They work — every visit just takes an extra step first. They were on the August list too, and they are three edits in the same screen.

Verified. Read off the live homepage on 15 September. All three still render as links with no destination behind them.

2

The Exhibitor Resource Centre has four links that lead to an error

Fix in Strapi 4 links · 1 page

Why it matters

Three buttons on this page point at /exhibit-enquiry/, which does not exist. The real page is at /exhibiting-enquiry/ — note the “ing”. Both were requested by hand on 15 September: the first returns “page not found”, the second loads normally.

A fourth link on the same page, Order Online, points at techstore.ite.group, which also returns “page not found”.

All four are on one page, so this is one trip into Strapi. The three broken buttons have no visible text attached to them — they sit on images — which is why they are easy to miss.

One article carries eleven dead links, each showing a raw web address

Fix in Strapi 11 links · 1 article

Why it matters

Every link in this article points at an individual company page on expoelectronica.ru, and every one of those pages has been removed. All eleven were requested by hand on 15 September and all eleven return “page not found”.

They also show the full web address as their visible text — a reader sees expoelectronica.ru/ru/otraslevye-proekty/electronica-awards/grid/5/KER/ rather than the company’s name. That is hard to read and impossible to scan.

The parent page they all sat under is still live, so there is a simple fix available.

Where to change it

Strapi → Articles → “Online voting for the Electronica Prize participants has started” → the body text

The simplest fix. Point all eleven at expoelectronica.ru/ru/otraslevye-proekty/electronica-awards/, which is still working, and change the visible text from the address to the company name — Electrodetal, Iskraten, KER, Sovtest, IVK, Rezonit, GCMO, Ostec-electro, NIIET, Shildpanel_pult and Fizika-pribor. If the individual pages are genuinely gone for good, removing the links and keeping the names reads just as well.

An address pasted into itself, on a different article. In the article on edge computing, the “30% reduction” link has its address stored twice over, one immediately after the other: …/release/1https://ijgis.pubpub.org/pub/uuh6pipb/release/1. Delete the second copy so it ends at /release/1.

4

Five links to other websites are dead

Fix in Strapi 5 links

Why it matters

Each of these was requested by hand on 15 September with an ordinary browser identity, so none of them is a case of a website simply refusing automated checks.

Where to change it

Strapi → the page or article named → the link address

Plan Your Travel — “Book your Stay”hiseligerskaya.ru/en/Only the English page is gone — change to hiseligerskaya.ru

The hotel one is a smaller fix than it looks. hiseligerskaya.ru itself is working normally — it is only the /en/ English version that has been removed. Trimming those three characters off the end gives your visitors a working hotel page rather than an error.

Thirty-four other links were checked and left alone. The scan flagged tadviser.ru — 31 links on its own — plus rg.ru, the Radisson booking page and two Moscow City Hotels pages. None of them needs action: they either open perfectly well in a browser or are reachable from inside Russia, which is where your audience is.

Eleven photo galleries have the single word “ExpoCifra” as their whole description

Fix in Strapi 11 pages

Why it matters

The description is the grey text under your link in a Google result. It is the two lines that decide whether someone clicks you or clicks the result below you.

On these eleven the field contains one word and nothing else, so that is the entire search result — and it is spelled four different ways across the set: ExpoCifra, expocifra, Expocifra and expo-cifra. Google reads eleven pages carrying the same one word as eleven near-identical pages.

They follow one pattern — write the first, then change the year and the event. Suggested wording is below for every one; please read it over before publishing, it goes out in your name.

Four pages have no description at all

Fix in Strapi 4 pages

Why it matters

Twenty-seven pages were on this list in August. The site now writes a description automatically from the words already on each page, which covered almost all of them without anyone editing anything.

These four are what is left. They hold no body text for the site to draw on, so they will stay blank until someone writes them, and they currently show nothing under their title in Google.

Where to change it

Strapi → the page → SEO → Meta Description

A fifth page has no description and should not get one. The Why India × Russia Report thank-you page at /thank-you/why-russia-indian-exhibitors/ is also blank. Leave it that way — it is a form confirmation page and should not be in Google at all. It is covered two items below.

One article is published twice, and two pairs of articles share a title

We need a decision 5 records

Why it matters

This was on the 24 August report and is unchanged. Three separate cases, all with the same underlying cost: Google has to choose between two pages, splits the credit for links and visits between them, and often ranks neither as well as one would have alone.

The first needs a decision rather than an edit, because the two copies may not be identical and only your team knows which one you want people to land on. Both are still live — confirmed on 15 September.

The other two are simpler: four different articles, given two titles between them. Each headline is already distinct, so the quickest fix is to base each SEO title on its own headline.

Where to change it

Strapi → Articles → decide which copy to keep, then unpublish or retitle

WhatThe records involved
The same article published at two addresses/articles/from-virtual-classrooms-to-ai-tutors-how-ed-tech-is-reshaping-digital-learning/ and the same address ending -1

Two articles sharing the title “IT Sector Participation: Book Your Stand at ExpoCifra”Introducing the exhibitor at iTech X RU — Information and Implementation Company IVK · Last chance to book a stand in the IT and digital transformation solutions sector

Tell us before you delete. If the duplicate address has been shared in an email or on social media, deleting it outright turns that link into an error for everyone who saved it. Tell us which copy you are keeping and we will set up forwarding from the other, so both links keep working.

Three images that appear on every page have no description

Fix in Strapi 3 images · every page

Why it matters

Every image can carry a short written description, used in two places: a screen reader reads it aloud to a blind visitor, and Google uses it to understand what the picture shows.

The site logo and the two social icons at the bottom of every page all have that field empty. Someone using a screen reader hears three unlabelled links and has no way to tell what they are or where they lead.

Three edits, and they cover every page of the site. It is the highest-value image task you have.

Two pages that were never meant for the public are live in Google

Fix in Strapi 2 pages

Why it matters

Both are published, listed in your sitemap and eligible to appear in search results, and both were confirmed still live on 15 September.

The component showcase is an internal build page and carries the only “Lorem ipsum” placeholder text on the site — the dummy Latin that sits in a layout before the real words arrive.

The other is a thank-you page. Someone finding it in a search result lands on a confirmation message for a form they never filled in.

Where to change it

Strapi → each page → SEO → tick No Index (or unpublish the record)

  • /components/
  • /thank-you/why-russia-indian-exhibitors/

Ticking No Index also removes them from the sitemap. You do not need to do anything else, and nothing changes for someone who has just submitted a form — they still see the page. If the component showcase is no longer used internally, deleting it is cleaner still.

10

The event information block is missing the two details Google asks for

Fix in Strapi 1 edit · every page

Why it matters

Your site sends Google a structured summary of the event — its name, dates, venue and organiser — which is what lets a search result show an event card rather than a plain blue link. Four of the five ITE sites we reviewed this week send nothing at all. Yours is filled in and nearly complete, which puts you ahead of all of them.

Two fields are empty, and they are the two Google specifically asks for. There is no ticket or registration entry, which is what Google uses to show “Free” or a price directly in the result. And the venue address has street, city and country but no postcode.

Both live in the same field, so this is one edit that applies to every page of the site.

Where to change it

Strapi → Site settings → SEO → JSON-LD

Where to get the postcode. The site does not state the venue postcode anywhere, so take it from Crocus Expo’s own contact details rather than from this report — we have not verified one and will not guess at an address that goes out in your name.

Hand it to a developer if that is easier. This is the most technical item on the list. It is a single settings field containing a block of structured text, and passing this paragraph to whoever maintains the site is a perfectly good way to get it done.

Verified. Read off the live homepage on 15 September: the event block is present and correct, the postcode field is empty and there is no ticket entry at all.

If you have time

Worth doing, not urgent

None of these is a problem. They are the difference between a site that is correct and one that is polished.

1,040 images are larger than they need to be — 248 MB in total

This is by far the largest image backlog of the five ITE sites reviewed this week, roughly three times the next worst. The site has no automatic image resizing, so the file you upload is exactly the file every visitor downloads, which is felt most on a phone. The stock photography is the bulk of it, and those files are worth doing first because each is used on several pages: shutterstock_2507473445 (4.8 MB, 3 pages), AVO_07085 (2.5 MB), shutterstock_1095302834 (2.1 MB, 6 pages), shutterstock_2409787129 (1.8 MB, 9 pages) and shutterstock_609540101 (1.8 MB, 7 pages). They are original downloads that were never resized. As a guide — full-width banners no wider than 1920px, article headers no wider than 1200px, logos and icons no wider than 400px, saved as JPEG or WebP at about 80% quality, aiming for under 200 kB each.

Image descriptions on the rest of the library — about 1,507 images

Beyond the three site-wide images, most photographs on the site have no written description, and the overwhelming majority are gallery shots. This is a long tail rather than a project. The practical approach is to fill them in as you go, and to describe new images as they are uploaded so the backlog stops growing. Prioritise images that carry information — products, charts, people — over decorative backgrounds, which are genuinely fine left empty.

Forty-four titles are cut off in search results

Google shows roughly the first 60 characters of a title and trims the rest mid-sentence, so the part that persuades someone to click is never seen. That is a quarter of the site, and almost all of them are articles. You do not need to rename anything — each page has a separate SEO title field used only for search results, so a short version can go there while the headline on the page stays exactly as it is. Worth doing for your best-performing articles rather than all forty-four, and it is editorial judgement, so we have not drafted suggestions.

New this run: the drop-down menus in your main navigation are built by the browser after the page arrives, so their links never reach the page a search engine reads. What happens now

Start with the footer, again

Three legal links with nothing behind them, on every page, for the second report running. If the pages exist it is three fields. If they do not, tell us — that is a bigger conversation than SEO, and we should have it now rather than in October.

Then the quick ones, in about an hour

The three broken buttons and the Order Online link, all on the Exhibitor Resource Centre — one page, four fields. The three image descriptions, which cover every page at once. Two pages ticked No Index. The copyright year and the three footer trailing slashes, all in the same screen as item 1.

Then the descriptions and the eleven prize links

Eleven galleries that follow one pattern — write the first and change the year — and four main pages, of which Contact Us and Brochures and Reports are the ones people search for. The eleven Electronica Prize links are all in one article and can all be repointed at the same address.

Tell us which copy of the Ed Tech article to keep

It is published at two addresses. Whichever one you unpublish, we will set up forwarding from it so any link anyone has already shared keeps working. That part cannot be done from Strapi alone.

Your event data is ahead of the rest of the group

Four of the five ITE sites reviewed this week send Google nothing about the event at all. Yours is filled in and two fields short. If it is easier, pass the last item of this report to whoever maintains the site rather than editing it yourself.

We re-run the check

Once you have published your changes we run the same review again and send you a short before-and-after, as we did between 24 August and today. No need to tell us when — just say the word.

This is a search-engine review, carried out on 15 September 2026 as a follow-up to the full report of 24 August. 178 addresses were crawled, covering all 175 in your sitemap plus 3 more, and every count here was measured rather than estimated. Link counts are taken from the rendered page rather than from the scan, which logs each link twice. Where a scan and the live page disagreed we went with the page: the three footer legal links, the copyright line, the event data block and every dead link in this report were read or requested by hand on 15 September with an ordinary browser identity. Thirty-four links the scan called broken were checked, found to be fine and left out — tadviser.ru accounts for 31 of them on its own, and the rest either refuse automated requests or are reachable from inside Russia, which is where your audience is. The accessibility and layout findings from 24 August — the mobile width on the homepage introduction, the slider arrows, the unnamed logo link — were not re-tested on this run and are not repeated here; they are unchanged as far as we know, not verified as fixed. Suggested wording is a starting point: please read it over before publishing, and change anything that does not match how you talk about the event.
