The Event Details page still shows last year’s timings — and now two different pavilions

Fix in Strapi 1 page · the page people check before booking travel

Why it matters

This was the first item on the report of 26 August. The page has moved to /about-us/details/ since then and a correct Opening Times block has been added — but the old one was not removed, so the page now carries both.

Read from top to bottom it says the show runs 1–4 February 2027 (Monday to Thursday), then a few lines further down, under Timings of the Event, that it runs Tuesday 4th to Friday 7th February 2026. The second set is last year’s show.

There is a second disagreement on the same page. The header and the Opening Times block say Pavilion 3; the travel directions underneath say Pavilion 2, twice — in the address and in the metro instructions. Someone reading this page to plan a trip has no way to tell which is right.

Where to change it

Strapi → Pages → Event Details → the Timings of the Event block, and the How to get to Crocus Expo block

Thursday 4th February 2027 — 10:00 - 16:00
How to get to Crocus ExpoPavilion 2, Crocus Expo IEC · exit to pavilion 2
Pavilion 3 — if that is the correct hall

Or simply delete the old block. The Opening Times block higher up the page already carries the 2027 dates correctly. If that is the one you want people to read, deleting the Timings of the Event block outright is the shorter fix and removes the contradiction entirely.

We cannot settle the pavilion for you. Both numbers are on the page and we have no way to tell which is correct. Tell us which hall the 2027 show is in and we will make every mention of it agree.

Verified. Read off /about-us/details/ on 15 September. Both date sets and both pavilion numbers are on the live page at the same time.

One article is telling Google to ignore itself

Fix in Strapi 1 article

Why it matters

Every page carries a setting called Canonical URL. It exists for one purpose: to tell Google “this page is a duplicate, index that other address instead of this one.” Left empty, the site fills in the page’s own address, which is the right answer almost every time.

On this article it is filled in with /articles/benefits-of-participating-in-air-vent-2025/, and that address returns “page not found”. The article itself is a real 453-word piece with a proper title and description, and it is currently telling Google that its real version does not exist.

The fix is to empty the box. The site then fills the field in correctly by itself.

Where to change it

Strapi → Articles → “Benefits of Participating in AIRVent 2025” → SEO → Canonical URL — clear the field

The same wrong address appears twice more. Two other articles link to /articles/benefits-of-participating-in-air-vent-2025/ in their body text under the words “benefit of participating”. The real article is at the same address without “-2025”. Those two are in the next item.

3

Ten internal links point at addresses that no longer exist

Fix in Strapi 10 addresses · 35 links across the site

Why it matters

The site’s addresses were reorganised at some point, and body copy written before the move still points at the old ones. Every link below now leads to a “page not found”. The pages they were meant to reach all still exist — they just moved.

The six sector links are the bulk of it: 28 separate links spread across 23 articles. The pattern is the same every time — drop /exhibit from the front of the address.

Each one was requested by hand on 15 September, and each old address returns “page not found” while the new one loads normally.

No such page exists — see the note below

Where the sector links are. All 28 sit in article body copy, one or two to an article, across 23 articles. Five carry two each: the ones on sustainable ventilation accessories, the Turkish export market, the supply chain crisis, air conditioning accessories and air quality control systems. Correcting the address in the editor is the same edit every time.

Join Leadscanning needs a decision. The Join Leadscanning link on About Us points at /leadscanning/, and there is no such page on this site — there never has been. Either point it at a page that does exist, or remove the link. This was on the August report as a decision and is still open.

About the organiser appears on three thank-you pages. The broken /about-us/ite-group/ link is on the Become a Partner, Sponsorship Enquiry and Visitor Registration confirmation pages. The real page is at /ite-group/.

Seven buttons take an extra hop — worth tidying while you are in there. The Explore All Sectors, Explore More and View all sectors buttons on About Us, Why Visit and Why Exhibit — and four article links — point at /exhibit/sectors/, an old address that bounces the visitor on to /sectors/. It works, it just costs a step. Pointing those seven straight at /sectors/ is a quick win.

Twenty-four pages have no description — including all nine sector pages

Fix in Strapi 24 pages

Why it matters

The description is the grey text under your link in a Google result. It is the two lines that decide whether someone clicks you or clicks the result below you.

Forty-eight pages were sharing one stand-in sentence in August — the one that still said 2026. That sentence is gone, and the site now writes a description automatically from the words already on each page, which covered half of them. These 24 are what is left.

The nine sector pages are the group worth doing first: they are the pages people search for. They do have plenty of copy on them, but it is all stored in the sections lower down, which the site cannot summarise from — so these need writing by hand.

Three images that appear on every page have no description

Fix in Strapi 3 images · every page

Why it matters

Every image can carry a short written description, used in two places: a screen reader reads it aloud to a blind visitor, and Google uses it to understand what the picture shows.

The site logo and the two social icons at the bottom of every page all have that field empty. Someone using a screen reader hears three unlabelled links and has no way to tell what they are or where they lead.

Three edits, and they cover every page of the site. It is the highest-value image task you have.

Nine confirmation pages are being offered to Google

Fix in Strapi 9 pages

Why it matters

This was item 9 on the report of 26 August and nothing has changed — all nine were confirmed still indexable on 15 September.

These are the pages someone sees after submitting a form. Finding one in a search result means landing on a confirmation message for a form you never filled in, which is a confusing first impression of the event.

Two of them share a title, which is a separate small problem this fixes at the same time: /newsletter/thank-you/ and /indian-compliance-report-thankyou/ are both called simply “Thank you”, so Google has to guess which to show.

Where to change it

Strapi → each page → SEO → tick No Index

  • /about-us/contact-us/thank-you/
  • /become-a-partner/thank-you/
  • /exhibit-enquiry/thank-you/
  • /indian-compliance-report-thankyou/
  • /newsletter/thank-you/
  • /post-show-report/thank-you/
  • /sales-brochure/thank-you/
  • /sponsorship-enquiry/thank-you/
  • /visitor-registration/thank-you/

Ticking No Index also removes them from the sitemap. You do not need to do anything else, and nothing changes for someone who has just submitted a form — they still see the page. It only stops Google offering it as a search result.

Three demo pages are publicly visible in Google — two with a person’s name in the address

Fix in Strapi 3 pages

Why it matters

Three pages that were never meant for the public are live, listed in your sitemap and eligible to appear in search results. All three were confirmed still live on 15 September.

Two are component test pages and both carry a personal name in the web address. The third is demo content with exactly the same title as your real Partners & Sponsors page, so Google has to choose between them.

Where to change it

Strapi → each page → unpublish, or SEO → tick No Index

PageWhat it is
/dynamic-block-prachi/A component test page, titled “Header Section”
/dynamic-block-pallavi/A component test page, titled “Smart Ventilation Solutions”
/partners-sponsors-demo/Demo content sharing the real Partners & Sponsors page’s title

One of them also has a web page header pasted into it. Inside a raw HTML block on /dynamic-block-prachi/, three stray lines sit above the “Contact Us Form” heading: a charset tag, a viewport tag and <title>Contact Us Form</title>. That last one gives the page a second, conflicting title — confirmed live on 15 September, the page serves both “Header Section” and “Contact Us Form”. Delete the three lines and keep the heading. Unpublishing the page settles it too.

Deleting is cleaner than hiding. If the two test pages are no longer used internally, deleting them needs no further thought later — and takes the personal names out of your public web addresses.

About Us is still advertised in Google as a wholesale parts page

Fix in Strapi 1 page

Why it matters

This was item 3 on the report of 26 August and it is half done. The description has been corrected — it now describes AIRVent as a B2B exhibition, which is right.

The title has not. It still reads “Wholesale HVAC Parts & Supplies | AIRVent Expo 2027”, and the title is the blue line someone actually clicks in a search result. Anyone finding your About Us page is told it sells wholesale parts.

The page itself is fine. This is one field.

Two links to other websites are dead

Fix in Strapi 2 links · 3 pages

Why it matters

Both were requested by hand on 15 September with an ordinary browser identity, so neither is a case of a website simply refusing automated checks.

Where to change it

Strapi → the article or page → the link field

Where it appearsLink currently points atWhat to do
Articles: “AIRVent 2023 results” and “Foreign speakers will participate…” — “Business program 2023” / “found here >>”airventmoscow.ru/en/Agenda/Page not found. Point at the current programme, or remove
Plan Your Travel — “Book your Stay”hiseligerskaya.ru/en/Only the English page is gone — change it to hiseligerskaya.ru

The hotel one is a smaller fix than it looks. hiseligerskaya.ru itself is working normally — it is only the /en/ English version that has been removed. Trimming those three characters off the end gives your visitors a working hotel page rather than an error.

Fifteen other links were checked and left alone. The scan also flagged the ITE exhibitor catalogue, Grand View Research, UNEP, ScienceDirect and ResearchGate as broken. They are not — those sites refuse automated requests and open perfectly well in a browser. They are not listed here and need no action.

If you have time

Worth doing, not urgent

None of these is a problem. They are the difference between a site that is correct and one that is polished.

402 images are larger than they need to be — 90 MB in total

This site has no automatic image resizing, so the file you upload is exactly the file every visitor downloads, which is felt most on a phone. The exhibition photography is the bulk of it — the av26_* files are straight off a camera, and the five largest run from 1.6 MB to 2.4 MB each. Re-exporting that set at a sensible size would remove most of the 90 MB on its own. This is housekeeping rather than a project and is best done gradually: when you next edit a page, resize its images while you are there. As a guide — full-width banners no wider than 1920px, article headers no wider than 1200px, logos and icons no wider than 400px, saved as JPEG or WebP at about 80% quality, aiming for under 200 kB each.

Image descriptions on the rest of the library — about 784 images

Beyond the three site-wide images, most photographs on the site have no written description, and the overwhelming majority are gallery shots. This is a long tail rather than a project. The practical approach is to fill them in as you go, and to describe new images as they are uploaded so the backlog stops growing. Prioritise images that carry information — equipment, charts, people — over decorative backgrounds, which are genuinely fine left empty.

Thirty-nine titles are very short, and eight are too long

Thirty-nine pages have a title under 30 characters — “Tools”, “Services”, “Thank you”. They work, but they use less of the space Google gives you: “Tools” could be “HVAC Installation and Service Tools”. At the other end, eight titles run past the point where Google cuts them off, around 60 characters, so the end is replaced with “…”. Both are editorial judgement and both are yours. Worth doing for the pages people actually search for — the nine sector pages above — and not worth working through the rest.

On our side

What we are handling

Ours rather than yours. Two of these have shipped since 26 August; the rest are open, and where an item was on the August list and is still not done, it says so.

No action needed from your team

Descriptions written automatically from each page’s own text. In August, 48 pages were sharing one stand-in sentence written when the site was built — including the homepage, and it still said 2026. That sentence is gone and half of those pages now carry a description drawn from their own copy. The 24 that remain hold no text the site can summarise, which is why they are on your list rather than ours

New this run: the drop-down menus in your main navigation are built by the browser after the page arrives, so their links never reach the page a search engine reads. Seven destinations have no link Google can follow from the homepage — Sectors, About Us, About ITE Group, Why Visit, Why Exhibit and Plan Your Travel among them, which are the pages the whole site is built to funnel people into. We are rendering those links into the page itself; the menu behaves exactly as it does now

What happens now

Start with the Event Details page

It is the page a visitor opens before booking a flight or a hotel, and right now it gives them two sets of dates — one of them last year’s — and two different pavilions. Everything else on this list can wait behind it.

Then tell us two things

Which pavilion the 2027 show is in, and what “Join Leadscanning” on About Us should point at. Both are questions only your team can answer, and both are holding up a fix we can otherwise make straight away.

Then the quick ones, in about an hour

The canonical field on the one article. The About Us title. The three image descriptions, which cover every page at once. Nine confirmation pages and three demo pages ticked No Index. The two dead outbound links.

Then the sector pages, then the galleries

Nine sector descriptions are the ones worth real attention — they are the pages people search for, and suggested wording is in the report for each. The twelve galleries after them follow one pattern: write the first and change the year.

The 28 sector links are one find-and-replace

They look like the biggest job on the list and they are the most repetitive. Every one of them is the same edit — remove /exhibit from the front of the address — across 23 articles, one or two to an article.

We re-run the check

Once you have published your changes we run the same review again and send you a short before-and-after, as we did between 26 August and today. No need to tell us when — just say the word.

This is a search-engine review, carried out on 15 September 2026 as a follow-up to the full report of 26 August. 148 addresses were crawled, covering all 136 in your sitemap plus the older /exhibit/ addresses that are not listed there, and every count here was measured rather than estimated. Where a scan and the live page disagreed we went with the page: the Event Details timings, the canonical field, every broken internal link and both dead outbound links were read or requested by hand on 15 September with an ordinary browser identity. Three items carried over from August were re-checked rather than repeated — the Event Details timings, the nine confirmation pages and the About Us title are all still live, and the About Us description has been corrected since. Several things the scan raised were checked, found to be fine and left out — including fifteen external links it called broken that open perfectly well in a browser, and the spelling and readability warnings, which fire on HVAC terminology and transliterated Russian names. The accessibility and layout findings from 26 August — the carousel arrows, the heading levels, the mobile widths — were not re-tested on this run and are not repeated here; they are unchanged as far as we know, not verified as fixed. Suggested wording is a starting point: please read it over before publishing, and change anything that does not match how you talk about the event.
